Lindell Custom Homes Concept site

Lindell Custom Homes · North Texas

Custom homes, built from the stakes up

Scroll to build one house on one lot, in the order we build it. The day count in the corner runs with the footage.

Days 1 to 30 · Slab

A slab made for North Texas clay

Survey stakes, piers drilled below the active clay, plumbing, a vapor barrier and post-tension cables. Our engineer and the city inspect it all before a single truck pours.

Days 30 to 75 · Framing

Walls go up where the lines were

Walls, trusses and sheathing. This is when you walk the rooms for the first time.

Days 75 to 180 · Dry-in, then exterior

Closed in first, then the stone

Roof decking, underlayment and house wrap close the house in, then the black-framed windows go in flashed. Plumbing, wiring and HVAC rough in and pass inspection. Then the masons set the cut limestone and the standing-seam roof and board-and-batten go on.

Days 160 to 305 · Finishes

Finishes you choose with a designer

White oak floors, an 18-foot great room and a limestone fireplace wall. Every selection is priced before it is ordered. Shown here finished and furnished.

Day 330 · Keys

Eleven months later, your keys

A walk-through room by room, then keys, manuals for every system and a one-year check-in on the calendar.

G-4Notes

What owners ask before they sign

Do I need my own lot?

No. We can help you find one, or build on a lot you own. We assess lots before you buy, so you know about the soil, the slope and the utilities first.

Will the price change during the build?

Once plans and selections are final, the contract price is fixed. Changes you ask for later are priced before they are made.

How long does a build take?

Most homes take seven to fourteen months from the survey stakes to keys, depending on size and finishes. The Bluebonnet in the film, with Designer finishes, takes about eleven (330 days). Design, engineering and permits come before that, usually four to six months, and the estimate above gives a schedule for your size.

Can I bring my own plans?

Yes. We review them with our engineer, suggest changes that save money and price them line by line.

Which areas do you build in?

This is a concept site for a fictional builder. A real build lists the counties served here.
