Room for thingsto settle.
Swiss Avenue Counseling is a small practice for talk therapy, in person in Dallas or by video anywhere in Texas. Answer three quiet questions and we'll suggest a therapist whose way of working fits yours.
Swiss AvenueDallas. A quiet room on a tree-lined street: two chairs, a window, and the same hour each week.
The pace we keep
Nobody here will rush you, and nothing has to be solved today. That's the pace we keep.
Therapy at Swiss Avenue is unhurried and steady. The same therapist, the same hour each week, fifty minutes at a time. You don't need to arrive with the right words, or know exactly what's wrong. Most people don't.
We start by listening, and we let the work go at the speed you can actually live with.
Find a fit
Three quiet questions.
Answer as loosely as you like. With each answer the water settles a little, because that's roughly how a first conversation feels. At the end we'll suggest the kind of therapist who tends to fit.
Nothing you choose here is saved or sent.

- Fifty minutes, in person in Dallas, or by video while you're in Texas
A suggestion, not a verdict. If it doesn't feel right after a session or two, say so and we'll suggest someone else. No explanation needed. The therapists on this page are made up for this demo.
First session
What happens after you ask.
No phone tag, no pressure to commit before you've met anyone, and nothing personal until we've agreed on a time.
-
A short reply
Someone from the practice emails you to offer a few times that match what you picked. You choose one, or ask for others. Once you pick a time, you'll get one secure link with our privacy notice to read and our consent form to sign before you meet. About ten minutes. If you're paying yourself, your Good Faith Estimate comes with it.
-
The first hour
Sixty minutes, in the room or by video. Your therapist goes over privacy and how sessions work, asks about what's going on and some background, and you can ask them anything. You only share what you're ready to. For video sessions you'll need to be in Texas at the time.
-
Decide together
At the end you both say whether it feels like a fit. If it does, you keep the same hour each week. If it doesn't, we'll suggest someone else.
Fees Sample fees
- First session (60 minutes): $185.
- Ongoing sessions (50 minutes): $160.
- We're in network with some insurance plans and can give you a superbill for others. Tell us how you plan to pay and we'll check before you book.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges if you don't have insurance or aren't using it. Ask us at any point. You'll get it in writing before your first session. If your bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. Questions: cms.gov/nosurprises or 1-800-985-3059.
Privacy
What intake asks, and what it doesn't.
A first request should take a minute and give away very little. The forms come after you book. The rest belongs in the room, with your therapist, when you're ready to say it.
We ask
- What you'd like to be called. A first name or a nickname is fine.
- One way to reach you: an email address.
- Your three answers above, only if you choose to bring them.
- Whether you'd rather meet in person or by video.
- How you plan to pay, if you'd like to say: insurance, paying yourself, or not sure yet.
- The time of week you could keep.
We don't ask
- Your diagnosis, history or medication.
- Why you're coming, in any detail.
- Your full legal name, birthday or address. Those go on the secure form after you book, not in an email.
- Card or insurance numbers. Just tell us how you plan to pay.
- Your phone number or anyone else's.
Notice of Privacy Practices. It explains how your health information is used and shared, and your rights over it. You get a copy with the consent form before your first session, and you can ask for one any time. This is a concept site, so there is no real notice here; a real practice posts its full notice on this page.
On this demo, nothing leaves the page. There is no server behind these forms, no cookies and no analytics. What you type or choose is gone when you close the tab.

Four short answers, and one optional. We'll write back to offer a time, and you can still change your mind after that.

A real practice would now email you within a working day to offer a first session. On this demo, nothing has been sent or saved anywhere.
